About

The toy vault locked itself on Christmas Eve, and Sprocket the elf engineer needs a code cracker! Fifth graders open five padlocks by solving two codes on each: read and write decimals in words, multiply by powers of ten, add and subtract decimals, multiply multi-digit whole numbers, and divide by two-digit divisors. A padlock strip tracks progress, every code has a narrated prompt, and a wrong answer shows a hint about the strategy to use before students try again. The last code swings the vault open.
