For school-based SLPs

Boom Cards for the kids who outgrew Boom Cards.

Build a session once and reuse it all year. Language work with real depth for the older students on your caseload. Data for your quarterly progress reports, without spending a weekend pulling it together.

Sound familiar?

You know the gaps. The tools you have don't.

These three frustrations come up again and again — in district meetings and in SLP Facebook groups. We built Berdee to take them off your plate.

"No-prep" tools that need prep.

Search a deck library for your goal and you scroll past decks that target a different skill or were made for much younger students. In Berdee you build the session your student needs — five scenes of 5th-grade inferencing, multi-clue, with passage highlighting — once. Then reuse it with new passages: open the lesson, run the session, capture data.

Inferencing pitched too easy.

Articulation materials are easy to find. Language materials for older students are not — they need texts and questions that match their age, not "find the cat in the picture." Put tappable pictures, highlighting, and multiple-choice questions on one screen. Build a passage where students highlight the evidence, ask an inference question with several clues, and move on only once they’ve got it right.

Progress reports that take a whole weekend.

Every attempt is timestamped and scored — each answer, how many tries it took, and how long it took. At report time you're not piecing it together: open each student's record and the trial-by-trial data is already there.

A session, end-to-end

Four steps. Twenty minutes. No printer.

Here's what an inferencing session looks like for one student on your caseload, from sit-down to data-captured.

  1. 1

    Build the session once.

Five scenes of 4th-grade inferencing: a passage students highlight for clues, then a multi-clue inference question. Start from a template or a blank scene.

  2. 2

    Adapt it.

Swap a passage. Add a hint button. Reorder the scenes. The activities keep working; you decide what to change.

  3. 3

    Run the session.

Assign it and share the link (Free covers up to 5 students; Plus covers a full caseload). The student plays in any browser — phone, school iPad, your laptop. Trial-by-trial data captures as they go.

  4. 4

Pull it up when reports are due.

Open the student's record: every attempt, score, and answer, in one place.

If you use Boom Cards

Boom Cards is a deck. Berdee is a tool.

A deck plays the cards in it. In Berdee, a lesson can branch, score, hold a student on a step until they've got it, and change reading level — and you build it once, then reuse it across your caseload. Boom Cards is a good fit for what it covers; we built Berdee for what it doesn't. See the full comparison, including where Boom is the better pick.

A few more things

Built for the rest of your caseload week.

The session is the headline. Here are the other places Berdee shows up.

Reuse a session.

Duplicate a session you've built. Reuse the structure with new target words, passages, or evidence. On Plus, Ask Berdee can make the swap for you in the studio.

A marketplace, just opening.

The marketplace opens with Berdee, and SLP sessions will arrive as SLPs who built and ran them with real kids publish them. When you buy one, it's one license for your whole caseload. No per-student fees.

Sell what you've built.

Other SLPs could use the sessions you've built. Sell them on the marketplace with Studio Pro: 85% standard revenue share — or 100% as a founding creator (first 100) — and monthly Stripe payouts.

Who can add students

Berdee is for SLPs working for a school or district, on staff or contracted by it. The school authorizes Berdee to keep its students' information, for their education only.

If you see clients in private practice, Berdee can't take them as students yet: a parent would need to give us consent directly, and that isn't built yet. Until it is, please don't add private-practice clients.
