About
A school car club has nine days to get its electric kart ready for a student race. Middle schoolers sort must-do jobs from nice-to-do ones using the coach's checklist, read team chat messages and infer what the writers mean but don't say, choose the most respectful way to disagree with a teammate, link ideas with transition words (therefore, however, meanwhile), match car idioms to their meanings and finish with a contrast-word catching game. Every passage, message, question and answer has a read-aloud button. Built for speech-language groups and grades 6-8 ELA.
