About
Lumi the lemur helps first graders solve take-away stories where the start is a mystery. Students add two-digit numbers in their heads, hear Ivy's bead story three times, find how many beads were in the jar to start, and fill in both equations for it. Then one picture of beads tells three stories, and students find where the question is in each one. Every direction is read aloud, and every wrong answer gets a spoken hint.
