About

An optional kindergarten math lesson with Tilly the turtle. Children give each of 6 bowls one spoon and decide when to stop, tell how many spoons that took (the same number as the bowls), count out a plate for each person in their own family, and choose the question that helps you know how many plates to put on a table. Every direction is read aloud, picture choices can be tapped to hear them, and a wrong answer gets a spoken hint and another try.

What's included

  • 7 short scenes, about 6 minutes, every direction read aloud
  • A Ten Frame build: one spoon for each of 6 bowls, then Done
  • A family-table practice frame with plates (recorded, not graded)
  • Picture choices that can be tapped to hear, with spoken hints

Learning objectives

  • Give each bowl one spoon, and stop when every bowl has one.
  • Tell how many spoons that took, and that it is the same number as the bowls.
  • Choose the question that helps you know how many things to put on a table.
  • Count out a plate for each person in your own family, and find the number that shows it.
