About
Kindergarten's first look at connecting cubes, guided by a friendly owl. Children learn what a tool is, notice and wonder about the cubes, then build a tower of 3 and a train of 4 with real snap-together cubes, play freely, and pick the longer of two towers. They show how many cubes are in a tower on drawn hands (including "only the bottom row"), find the connecting cubes among other math tools, and count to 10 together. Every direction is read aloud, wrong answers get a spoken hint and another try, and the attempt page shows each build and finger count.
